JOURNEY THROUGH DARKNESS-  SEE AND HEAR LIVE INTERVIEWS ON CONTACT PAGE
I was compelled to write my biography because I realized I am a living testimony and I felt that my life story would certainly inspire others to never give up and to also keep the faith andf ollow their dreams. I started thinking of writing a book after being placed in a foster home due to the abuse I experienced from my parents. After I was kidnapped and raped at gunpoint at the age of 26 I really  knew and felt I needed to start the process of writing and publishing my book. I was feeling a little anxiety because I did not know where to start. So many people I talked to said they always wanted to write but they were discouraged because of lack of knowledge. I then started doing some research and started the process of recording in detail my story starting from age 3. I can only remember all the tears I shed, reliving every painful event of the mental and physical abuse I encountered. After completing the tape I sent it via mail... and needless to say it got lost in the mail. Now I realized I would have to start over, however I decided to start writing the details. Now after going through the whole process and completion of writing and publishing, I can only say it was a dream that became a vision and now it is reality, a finished product to lift and inspire others of all ages. Now that I can put this book in the hands of anyone who has experienced, abuse of all types, death of a sibling, marriage to a distant relative, kidnap and rape, marriage to a bigamist and even more, I have been told by many that once you start reading my biography , you can not put it down. It is in my words, another version of MOMMY DEAREST , except my story is a little more entailed, detailed and heart wrenching, however it is the truth and the truth must be told. Now soon to be divorced from the bigamist, who really tried to destroy me, in many ways, I try to take notes and start my 2nd book sharing with others the pain, and the heartaches I have beared , sometimes feeling the anxiety and not able to concentrate or focus on every detail. I will tell others that I was homeless, sleeping on the floor in a strangers home, while publishing my 1st book  due to my soon to be ex changing locks on our residence and mailbox, leaving me literally homeless, hungry and ready to give up on life. GOD stepped in and ordered my steps, comforting, shielding and protecting me, showing me my battles were there to make me stronger. Now at this point in my life I pray the LORD has his way and directs me to do his will, because I realize I will never fail. To him I am greatful.  A word of inspiration to others would be:

An Interview with Angie Jennings
By Holly Hewson - The Romance Studio

HH: Angie, welcome to The Romance Studio! What one thing would you tell other abuse survivors out there on their own journeys?

AJ: I wrote this book to inspire others, I feel it is not so much about what I have been through, but the person it has made me to be, as well as my inspiration to help others. One thing I would share with others who are experiencing a Journey Through Darkness would be, "God did not promise that our path would be easy, or even fair, but He did promise that He would never leave us or forsake us; He is walking with you on your Journey Through Darkness.

HH: What are you working on right now?

AJ: At the present time I am working on marketing my book, in hopes that it will certainly reach all that feels there is no hope to continue on.

HH: What goals have you set for yourself in the next year?

AJ: During this next year my goals include becoming more involved with community services, including public speaking.

HH: Looking back at 2006, what accomplishments are you most proud of? What, in your life today, brings you real joy?

AJ: I would have to say that my biggest accomplishment in 2006 was publishing my book while being locked outside in the cold, by my soon to be ex husband (homeless) sleeping on a strangers floor. It made me appreciate life so much in making a decision to be happy instead of being mistreated and controlled. I would also say that my joy comes from seeing others happy, stress free and in a positive state of mind.

HH: You have much to be proud of. How will you spend the holidays this year?

AJ: This year I will spend my holidays with my 22 year old daughter in Atlanta , and I will also make and give out little gifts to children that are less fortunate, what a joy to see their faces light up from the joy in their heart.

HH: Where can readers find out more about you and your amazing book?

AJ: All of my contact information is on my site. It has all the ordering information as well.

HH: Thank you!
