About Me

Hello! I am so glad you are here. Here are a few nuggets of information about my life to just get us started.

I am a wife and Mom, with children whom I adore and a husband who is all that I am not – filling in my gaps quite nicely (isn’t God good like that?!). I am a teacher and lover of God, the outdoors, nice weather, and coffee with friends. I am a long time believer in Christ with many years of “pretending” to be close to Him while living very differently behind closed doors. By the grace of God, I have been set free from a life of mistakes and deceit and will forever be grateful for His love and patience toward me.

I live a transparent life, with many life lessons that I am happy to share with others to encourage them in their walk with Christ. I see every single thing that has happened in my life, good and seemingly bad, as a grand design of the story He is creating in and through me. It is ALL working out exactly as He planned.

As a woman, I believe it is so important that we put off our facades of perfection and let our walls down to show each other the real “us”. It is only in authenticity that we find true connection, true healing, true companionship, and honest experiences with each other in which we can form bonds that will encourage and ignite fires within us that push us to be better people and propel us toward our Creator.

If you would like to join me, I want this to be a safe and real place for you, all of you. Your imperfections, your failures, your weaknesses, along with your beauty, strengths, and perfection through Christ are welcome here. So take and seat and put  your feet up. Come as you are. I would love to get to know your heart as I share mine with you.

Interesting. I am not sure what you are trying to say about putting off, “facades of perfections”, but I really want to learn.

I am excited to see you start this journey in your life. I believe that thru God and your life experiences you can reach out and help others. Me being one of those. Can’t wait to see what comes next.

  3. Wendy told me I had to be nice 🙂 like I’m anything but, jeez. She was afraid our differences in beliefs would somehow make me bad, or something. I told her I have no room to judge past or present actions of a persons life. I have my own skeletons hanging around (they will be coming out in my blog over time), so I don’t want folks judging me. I’ll freely tell you that I am not a man of Faith, but I 100% support the role religion plays in our society. If more people followed just the letter of the teachings in the Bible, the world would be a way better place. Anyway, I look forward to reading more on your blog and tell my sister to stop stressing that I’m going to be mean to you. I was hurt she even suggested it.

    • Haha… I love your sister dearly. She has been a great friend to me. 🙂 Thanks for being nice! lol I hope you are encouraged by what I write, even if you may not believe all of it. It’s a tough life out there and we all need encouragement! On a personal note, I honestly don’t know what I would do without my faith in God. He is who gives me hope.

  4. Angie,
I just wanted to encourage you that God can bring beauty from the ashes of your past. By your testimony here, I would say that you are doing that. If we are willing to be vulnerable and transparent, then others can be drawn to a loving God through our stories. Blessings to you…the world needs your story!

    • Thank you Bev. I ned all the encouragement I can get! Some days I’m ready to face anything and others… Not so much. Lol. Transparency is something God has called me to but it sure is hard sometimes! Especially when criticism is hurled. I can say though that the people I’ve encouraged through the process is worth any attack i may face. God is good and has shown me a tremendous amount of grace. I am forever in His debt. 🙂

    • Hey Bev! Thank you for your encouragment! I wonder often if I am really ready for this and the repercussions of putting myself out there. So it is always good to hear encouragment. I have just started reading a few of your blogs recently. Love!
